It is important to communicate the value that we bring to the customer. Value is in the eye of the beholder and that value is determined at every touch point we have with our customers. We have an influence on that perception of value—but is our influence negative or positive?
Everyone on the team should understand and be clear on the ways they bring value to customers—and they need to be able to communicate that to others. How do we communicate? Actions and words are both critical. Provide top-notch service; think of everyone as a customer; and sell everyone on the truth that your organization provides an invaluable service.
